Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Palette Review!

My go to palette recently has been this little guy right here….!

I picked up the Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Amazonian Clay Palette a few weeks back when I did some retail therapy at Sephora. I was browsing the travel sized products by the counter when I discovered it! I love travel sized makeup, for both travel and to try a product without too much of a splurge, and since I no longer do subscription boxes (except FabFitFun) I’ve started to run low on my supply. Once I swatched this palette I just had to have it. This palette retails for $23.00 and you can pick it up at Sephora,Ulta or on Tarte’s website.

LOVE

If you are familiar with Tarte palettes then this is that same formula you love or don’t. If you aren’t familiar….the Tarte Amazonian Clay eyeshadow texture is unique. The shadows are soft and so very blendable. They stay put and true to color ,even without primer, all day! Anytime they include a “metallic” type shadow…it is stunning and I typically do not need to apply it wet.

Here are a few looks I’ve created with it over the past weeks.

I LOVE this palette, esp thrown in my travel bag since I’ve been all over the U.S. recently!

I originally skipped the Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette with 16 shades because I felt it may have been a little too close to shades I had in other palettes including my Tartlette In Bloom. Using this travel sized version has made me rethink that though.

There are many pros to this palette but the one CON is a big one. THERE IS NO BROW BONE HIGHLIGHT SHADE! That surprised me. I swatched it before purchase so I obviously knew that and had no problem getting it regardless. I have been using Hype (the golden shade) as brow bone highlight. It works,in a pinch, for me.

I feel like the Tarteist Pro To Go is a great palette for travel or everyday makeup! It would also be a great gift or for someone like myself who wants to “sample” products before splurging on the full size.

What’s your favorite makeup to travel with? Do you tend to take travel size products or do you bring full-size ones with you?

Until next time…

In shimmery bronze,

MKKXOXO♥

    1. I had almost gotten THAT one 100 times when I discovered this one. The tease looks like what I should have actually gotten for travel. Sephora has a set that is this palette,a deluxe lip paint and mascara for $25,I see online. That’s a great deal!
