Freeman Polishing Charcoal +Back Sugar Mask+Scrub Review!

Freeman  Polishing Charcoal + Black Sugar Gel Mask +Scrub $4.29

A unique mask AND scrub that works to detox skin. Naturally purifying Activated Charcoal helps absorb oil and impurities without over-drying your skin. Black Sugar helps exfoliate away dulling skin cells for softness and clarity. This is perfect for all skin types!

Pros:

  • You can feel it working, like a light tingling or pulling sensation
  • Noticeable difference in skin softness
  • No breakouts
  • I love the black sugar scrub. It feels slightly warm when scrubbing. It’s not too harsh and not the type that just dissolves before it gets anything done. It really left my face feeling fresh.

Cons:

  • MESSY. It’s sort of odd to apply because it’s a chunky salt scrub/oil mixture. You expect it to dry down like a mask but it doesn’t. I feel like it I really pack it on…I’m using WAY too much.

Final thoughts:

This mask is great for congested feeling skin! Mine was feeling especially gunky today. Now it feels renewed and super soft/clean.

Sometimes activated charcoal masks will irritate my skin or make it red. I personally have not had that issue with this particular mask. Use with caution though if you tend to have reactions from charcoal or have really senstite skin. Usually Walmart or drug stores carry single use packets of the Freeman brand masks. Maybe try it that way first or do a patch test on your inner arm.

Until next time…

Scrub a dub dub,
