“I no longer believed in the idea of soul mates, or love at first sight. But I was beginning to believe that a very few times in your life, if you were lucky, you might meet someone who was exactly right for you. Not because he was perfect, or because you were, but because your combined flaws were arranged in a way that allowed two separate beings to hinge together.”
I met my boyfriend,Colton, in June of 2012 when we both modeled as a hobby. Two friends of mine, who are awesome photographers, wanted models to pose as couples for their portfolios. Male models are pretty rare in Greensboro,NC. I saw some of Coltons photos and felt we would work well together. I knew nothing else about him! Haha!
“I don’t want the heavens or the shooting stars. I don’t want gemstones or gold. I have those things already. I want…a steady hand. A kind soul. I want to fall asleep, and wake, knowing my heart is safe. I want to love, and be loved.”

It was a really fun day. We met at my place and talked a little before we went out to shoot. Then basically we spent a few hours playing in the lake and slinging mud at each other! And…we have been together ever since!
“Then I realize what it is. It’s him. Something about him makes me feel like I am about to fall. Or turn to liquid. Or burst into flames.”
All relationships have issues,we know that. We hear all the time we need to fight and that love is hard…the word compromise is thrown around a lot. I’ve had many types of relationships in my life. This one is seamless. It walks a line between comfortable and exciting. I don’t have to worry about anything.
He’s my everyday Valentine ❤

Until next time…
